So Many Things To Be Thankful For...

Inspired by many our friends posting words of thanks on their Facebook and Twitter pages, the team here at LSPR wanted to offer our thanks to the people and things that keep us happy on a daily basis.

Lauren is thankful for...the return of sweater weather
I love to cozy up in sweaters when it’s cold outside.  I have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to wear my favorite oversized cardigan with faux-fur collar and just added this great rubgy-style striped sweater from LOFT to the rotation.  Give me a cozy sweater and a hot chocolate on a chilly LA night and I’m a happy girl.

Michelle is thankful for...Channing Tatum
Although my heart is taken, my eyes can’t seem stay off the buff arms and chiseled stomach of Channing Tatum- this year I am thankful for the sexiest man alive. His perfectly engineered body and deep eyes are only made sexier by his humble personality and faithful devotion to his loving wife. This Hollywood heartthrob has every girl asking Santa to put him under the tree this year.

Lisa is thankful for... glitter gel manicures
I am thankful to the glitter gel manicures for keeping my nails shiny and sparkling all month long. Not having to worry about my nails getting chipped or pealing is the best thing that a clumsy girl like me could ever wish for.

Kelly is thankful for...wedges
I am thankful for comfortable wedges. The best accessory when you want to dress up but need to be on your feet for hours. They are stylish and give you the polished look of heels without the pain, perfect for helping you stylishly go the distance during the busy holiday party season.

Rebecca is thankful for...the Olympics in London
This year I’m thankful that the Olympics were held in my favorite city, London.  Not only did it showcase the strength and endurance of the greatest athletes in the world, but it also gave occasion for many Kate Middleton photo ops.  As one of my favorite style icons, the Duchess did not disappoint this summer.  Per usual, she looked flawless whether her look was casual for a sporting event or dressed up for a royal affair.

LSPR Staff Style Tips: November

Today's 90 degree weather is all too reminiscent of summer, making it difficult to believe fall is upon us. While we stare longingly at the scarves, sweaters and peacoats in our closets, here's a list of which pieces might actually be getting some use this month, despite the lack of cool weather here on the west coast.

Flights of Fancy — Clea DuVall in Kevan Hall and Berenice Marlowe in Alexander McQueen
There’s something about a simple silhouette accented by wisps of feathers that sets my heart aflutter.  Argo’s Clea DuVall worked the look at the Hollywood Film Awards in a rose chiffon Kevan Hall gown with feather sleeves, showcasing how the trend can work for black tie occasions.  But it is Bond girl Berenice Marlohe’s Alexander McQueen top that I’m totally crazy for.  I love how she paired the top with simple white trousers and can’t wait to emulate the look for an upcoming holiday function.

New Kicks on the Block -- Kate Bosworth in Isabel Marant
Wedge sneakers have just fulfilled the dreams of petite women everywhere discretely granting a few precious inches of height. They can be paired with ripped jeans or juxtaposed with flirty dresses and skirts. Kate Bosworth effortlessly captured the trend with a girly pleated maxi and ballerina bun.

Blast from the Past -- Ann Hathaway and Kim Kardashian
The ‘90’s are back in a major way, bringing with them the reincarnation of some of our favorite fashion trends such as Harem pants.  There is zero risk of sausage leg syndrome this season. These pants not only make you look chic and edgy but with wedges or heels they make your legs look mile-long as well. Pair it with a blazer, cardigan, sheer blouse, or a half leather jacket to make your own stylish outfit!

A Menswear Affair -- Katie Holmes in Stella McCartney
Tuxedo style blazers are a must have for fall. They can easily add class to an outfit and work in a variety of colors. Katie Holmes keeps it simple with a crisp white style, but I also love the look in black, which works great over a flowy dress or with jeans and heels.  Dress it up with costume jewelry or down with a great pair of boots, the tuxedo style blazer is perfect for any occasion.

Skull & Bone – Vanessa Hudgens in Wildfire CoutureThe skull and bone motif has long been a staple in men’s wear but has more recently been trending on young starlets like Vanessa Hudgens, who wore this Wildfox Couture White Label Love Skull Sweater to an event in NYC last month.  The skeletal theme can be both girly and edgy, a perfect fit for Hudgens who has rocked the look before.  The trend has even hit the Paris runway at the Peachoo Krejberg fashion show where the addition of ribcage-shaped harnesses complimented many of their new pieces.
