LSPR Staff Style Tips: April

Time to pack up those winter clothes and pull out your spring faves.  Here's what the staff at LSPR will be shopping for this month.

Rock a Little White Dress – Ashley Tisdale in Gomez-Gracia
While the Little Black Dress has a special place (or seven!) in our closets and hearts, celebrities including Ashley Tisdale are championing a transition towards bright white for night.  The sophisticated, but sexy look is the perfect answer to what to wear to a hot date or party in the upcoming sweltering summer months.

Flares are the new Skinny – Diane Kruger
The fashion world has been overtaken by a wave of 70’s style this season. Jump in on the retro movement by pulling out those flare jeans that have been collecting dust since the skinnies took over. Diane Kruger stays classy with her faded flare jeans and Chanel bag, but her wild leopard-print pumps peep out just enough to make a great statement.

Beat the Heat in a Haute Headband – Hilary Duff
With Spring popping up the warm weather is just around the corner! A small change in your hair can accentuate any outfit or occasion. I LOVE these headbands by True Birds. You can wear it Hippie style or curl your hair under and into the band for an up-do look like Hilary Duff.  The details of the headband and the simple How-To card (included with every purchase) can take you from flirty to sexy in a heartbeat. Hilary keeps the heat off her neck by wrapping her hair into the band. The strap can also be adjusted turning the multipurpose headband into a chic choker or bracelet!

Make Your Style Pop in a Crop Top – Mischa Barton
The 90’s are back! The blast from the past style trend for spring is the crop top. It’s time to get back in shape and show off your stomach in a loose fitting crop top. They are the ultimate way to go casual chic for the spring and summer months. Mischa Barton showcases this trend perfectly by pairing it with a vintage vest and high-waisted skirt.

Mix & Match This Month – Sienna Miller in Burberry and Twenty8Twelve
Sienna Miller is a risk taker whose adventurous fashion choices look understandably chick and rock and roll. Sienna Miller has perfectly styled this look for a night on the town dressed in a Burberry black leather jacket, Chloe red buckle boots, an orange Prada purse, a t-shirt from her line Twenty8Twelve, and a pair of blue skinny jeans. Take from Sienna Miller this month by putting together a fun mix of colors in your outfit during the day and then throwing on a leather jacket and shoes with metal hardware and sophisticated colors at night. Sometimes the best outfits come together when you are not even trying. April is your month to take risks and pair together new and old items from your wardrobe to make the best outfit.

An Oversized Clutch is Super Chic – Victoria Beckham in her own designs
Spotted: Victoria Beckham strolling through the Heathrow Airport with a black oversize clutch from her own line. An oversized clutch is a must-have for woman who wants to stay in style in work. It is large enough to store up your workday essentials but also small to fit into a larger tote for an after dark switch-up.

Dare to be BOLD – Jessica Biel in Thakoon
Jessica Biel got this trend spot on with this bold printed dress. This style looks best if you  choose something with bright colors. But be sure not to go overboard --try pairing the dress with simple black heels. The style is classy enough to be worn to a formal event, but if you're looking for something more nonchalant, a blazer is the perfect way to tone down the look.

LSPR Rocks the Kids Choice Awards

Young Hollywood's hottest stepped out yesterday for the 2011 Kids Choice Awards.  We were excited to see so many of tomorrow's stylish superstars sporting items from LSPR clients for their picture perfect looks.  Following is a round-up of some of our favorites.

Selena Gomez with a Lauren Merkin clutch
Winning the best actress award for the third year in a row, Selena accessorized her adorable top and shorts ensemble with Lauren Merkin's "Lucy" clutch in white stingray embossed.

Arielle Kebbel in LOFT
This star of TV's Life Unexpected and Vampire Diaries showcased her long legs in black shorts paired with a seersucker blazer and sequin tank from LOFT. Her cute and casual look -- topped off to perfection with a classic Chanel handbag -- was well-suited to the afternoon's festivities.

Victoria Justice in THEIA and Lauren Merkin
One to watch on the red carpet, Victorious star Victoria Justice glammed it up in a multi-colored sequin dress from THEIA paired with a Lauren Merkin clutch.

Jennette McCurdy in THEIA
Winning the award for best sidekick, iCarly star Jennette McCurdy also stepped out in a glamorous beaded frock from THEIA

Aimee Teegarden in The Hellers and Lauren Merkin
Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden, who will soon be seen on the big screen in Prom and Scream 4, also opted for a cute and casual look -- stepping out onto the orange carpet in a romper by The Hellers paired with a handbag by Lauren Merkin.  We love the unusual color combo of the brick red romper with the turquoise necklace.
