Trendsetter on the Rise: Zoey Deutch

Growing up in Hollywood as the daughter of 80’s ingénue icon Lea Thompson and Pretty in Pink Director Howard Deutch, its no surprise that youngster Zoey Deutch exudes confidence on the red carpet. Star of Beautiful Creatures and the upcoming comedy Vampire Academy, Deutch seems to have mastered both the young adult genre as well as the perfect red carpet pose. And for this, we are keeping our eyes on her as one of our Trendsetters on the Rise.

Zoey dressed to impress in Brian Rennie for Basler at the Golden Globe Awards Season Celebration in Hollywood. We love the bold addition of pops of color throughout her ensemble.

In Calvin Klein at the ELLE's Women in Hollywood Celebration
The young starlet looked radiant at the ELLE’s Women in Hollywood Celebration in an understated ensemble. Zoey keeps the look anything but basic with the addition of gold hardware details in her belt, shoe detailing and clutch.

At Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood Party
Zoey arrived at Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood Party in a whimsical embroidered floral dress. Sophisticated yet still a touch trendy, her look perfectly captured the vibe for a party with her peers.

Watch out for this nineteen year old—we see big things in her future!

LSPR is thankful for...

Thanksgiving is a time for just that – giving thanks! And while we will all no doubt be thankful for the time we will spend this week with friends and family, we also wanted to take this opportunity to give a thankful shout out to the things that make us smile day in and day out.

Kelsey is thankful for…glitz and glamour.
As we dive into the holiday season, I can’t help but be most thankful for eye-catching accessories. A printed scarf, bold handbag or sparkling accessory is the perfect year-round pizazz for any ensemble. The majority of my closet houses pretty classic styles so I love the convenience of adding trendy accessories to keep my look up to date and fresh. Revel in the holiday spirit and amp up the sparkle from head to toe this year. Cheers!

Sonum is thankful for…her Clarisonic Mia.

This Thanksgiving in the beauty world, I'm feeling extremely thankful for my Clarisonic. I was a skeptic considering the brush could harbor bacteria if not cleaned properly but it has been life changing...seriously. I use it once a day (at night); my skin has never been this clear. It has become something that I can't live without!
—Sonum Singh, LSPR Intern

Lauren is thankful for…booties that go the distance.
Sure, I might have a desk in my office, but most of the time I feel like I’m rarely sitting at it. Between showroom appointments, meetings, the occasional last minute rush to Fed-Ex and cocktails, my appetite for statement footwear is murder on my poor feet on a busy day. I’m incredibly grateful for some of my favorite booties (Rag & Bone’s Harrow is my newest obsession) that allow me to go the distance without wondering when the pain is going to set in.
—Lauren Stillman

Brittany is thankful for … her Wildfox Satin Pajamas.
That moment at the end of the day when you can finally relax in something delicate and cozy is remarkable! I actually get excited to start my nightly routine which includes lighting a bergamot candle, washing my face and sliping into my Wildfox satin pajama set. I love the look of classic collared button down PJS and I'm especially thankful that Wildfox nails comfort and style with their line of fashionable sleepwear sets.

LSPR Staff Style Tips: July All-American Edition

As we cruise into the holiday weekend, the girls of LSPR are celebrating “All-American Style” and the celebs who sport it.  Which of these looks will you be rocking this weekend?

Life’s a Picnic – Kirsten Dunst in Miu Miu
The checkerboard design instantly conjures memories of apple pie, barbeque and picnics in the park, yet this pattern can often also be found on the runways and red carpets of the world.  Kirsten Dunst scored my favorite gingham moment of the past few years in this Miu Miu frock for an appearance on Jimmy Fallon.  You can test the trend for your next outdoor soiree with this dress from Contrarian’s Spring 13 collection, only $215 (on sale!!) at Social Dress Shop
 -- Lauren Stillman

Timeless Espadrilles – Emma Roberts in Chanel
Worn by iconic celebrities past and present, espadrilles are a timeless trend to incorporate into your summer wardrobe. Whether high-heeled or flat, you can easily wear these classic shoes with almost any outfit, for example with a breezy summer frock, a pair of cropped pants, or cut-off denim shorts, as Emma Roberts styled her desirable Chanel slip-on espadrilles. I will definitely be pairing my espadrilles with some cut-offs for the rest of this summer!
-- Julianna Lo, LSPR Intern

Flyin’ High – Kate Hudson
What began in the 1930’s as a way to protect pilot’s eyes while flying has turned into a full-blown American fashion icon. Seen on almost all of Hollywood's most stylish stars, aviator sunglasses go with just about everything. I'm digging the way Kate Hudson effortlessly pairs hers with soft waves and a maxi dress. My aviators will definitely be making a cameo this week!
-- Michelle Balady, LSPR Showroom Manager

White Hot – Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
All-American denim is taking a turn for the lighter. The weather is heating up and there's no reason why your Fourth of July outfit shouldn't be either. So keep up and brighten your summer look with all-white jeans! I'm taking notes from actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rocking her white denim with a matching loose tee and a tan sun hat.
-- Heaven Saunders, LSPR Intern

Jazz It Up with a Jean Jacket – Katie Holmes
The double J (Jean Jacket) -- we all have one or if we don't, then we want one. Katie Holmes works it in NYC on her way to lunch, so why can't we? The jean jacket is a classic American staple to add to any outfit and what better day to bust it out than on the Fourth of July?  It's versatile enough to wear with a dress, jeans, shorts, anything! Now, all we have to do is add the white, the red, and we are ready for our night under those fireworks.

Style Star for June: Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough is no stranger to the big screen with lead roles in Footloose and Safe Haven, not to mention a two time Dancing with the Stars champ. This leading lady is a genuine class act and we can't get enough of what she's putting down. With her adorable signature bob, killer body, and edgy style, Julianne makes us green with style envy.

In Monique Lhuillier at The Lone Ranger premiere
I can't help but root for fashion risk-takers and at the moment, Julianne leads the pack in my book.  J Hough worked it at The Lone Ranger premiere in a daring look that combined not only pants and a peplum, but also a graphic print.  Most women would shudder at the thought — what will my friends think?  Will my man like it?  But Julianne confidently faced the photogs and totally rocked it out.  I'm also slightly obsessed with her perfectly rumpled bedhead hair here.

-- Lauren Stillman

In Mara and Mine loafers at LAX
Julianne Hough may be a red carpet regular, but her street style is quickly gaining momentum on the pages of fashion sites everywhere. This blonde bombshell was recently spotted at LAX rocking an all black getup with Mara and Mine skeleton loafers. She added Rayban Wayfarers and a bowler hat for an edgy look.
-- Michelle Balady, Showroom Manager

In Emporio Armani at the Premiere of 'Magic City'
Julianne Hough rocks the premiere of 'Magic City' in a champagne shorts trouser suit and metallic heels by Emporio Armani. Ditching a conventional dress for a bold suit and cut-out shoes, Hough manages to tame this daring look with simple jewels by Cresta Blesdoe. I love that she was able to bring a fearless, but sweet look to this event.
-- Heaven Saunders, LSPR Intern

Wearing Topshop in Los Angeles
Julianne Hough makes running errands seem a little more fun in a classic chambray shirt, bright double slit skirt, and the ever so coveted, celeb favorite, Celine black leather tote bag. She can wear pretty much anything with that athletic and fit body of hers, always modestly showing off her stems. Julianne knows exactly what to wear when bracing the summer LA heat, keeping cool with a double slit skirt, a trend that's sure to last well into the winter season.

LSPR Staff Style Tips: June

Summer has finally made its arrival to the streets of Los Angeles and we're ready to break out the swimsuits, tank tops and flip flops. Shorter nights and longer days are the perfect time to debut fresh trends for everyone to see. Find out what we will be rocking during the hot summer months.

What's The Skinny?? -- Jessica Alba in 7 For All Mankind
I've always been a fan of cuffing my denim.  Is there a better way to show off a killer pair of heels?  Recently a term emerged from the fashion lexicon — skinny boyfriend jeans — and suddenly, my urge to cuff my skinny jeans had purpose.  I'm 100% on board with the latest denim craze, shown here by Jessica Alba in 7 For All Mankind's "Josefina" skinny boyfriend jean.  I recently picked up a pair of these jeans myself and I don't want to take them off.  I can take them from a casual weekend to a mid-week meeting with just a swap of shoe.  SOLD!

-- Lauren Stillman

Flower Power -- Katy Perry
Remember your childhood days when you wouldn't leave the house in anything but a fairy princess costume? Take a trip down memory lane with flower crowns this season. They will have you feeling like a whimsical fairy, even if you're not five anymore. This month I'm bringing out my inner flower child like Katy Perry did at the the Pre-MET screening of The Great Gatsby with a lavender, daisy flower crown.
-- Michelle, LSPR Showroom Manager

Flowy Florals -- Korlina Kurkova
A floral blouse is the perfect top to bloom into summer with. It's breathable and lightweight enough to wear out on the town or just down the street to the closest Coffee Bean. Plus, a little flowers never hurt anybody. Follow the floral trend this summer just like Karolina Kurkova.

-- Molly Goldberg, LSPR Intern

 Cuff Em'
Ear cuffs have recently become a hot accessory this season. A bolder take on the traditional earring, the ear cuff adds a touch of edgy sophistication to any outfit, without the damage of a cartilage piercing. There are countless styles of ear cuffs, so whether you're tough or girly, you can accessorize any outfit by simply throwing one on!
-- Julianna Lo, LPSR Intern

Mirror Mirror on the Wall
A trend that has seamlessly transitioned from spring to summer, mirrored sunglasses add the extra kick to a day time outfit. Celebrities like Blake Lively and Jessica Alba have recently been spotted sporting fun mirrored wayfarers and aviator shades. This fresh, colorful trend is sure to make heads turn, I can't wait to snag a pair of my own!

Style Star for May: Jennifer Lawrence

Our favorite part of the Oscars this past year?  Not Seth MacFarlaine’s epic “We saw your boobs” song-and-dance number or the well-deserved Christoph Waltz win.  It was Jennifer Lawrence’s decision to take advantage of E! News’ typically cringe-inducing mani-cam moment with her off-the-wall taunt “Your ass is mine, Stone.”  Her antics didn’t stop there.  We still laugh watching her photo-bomb SJP at the Met Gala (check out Marion Cotillard’s reaction in the background!).  This month’s style star is a total goofball, but also turns up the sartorial heat – and we can’t get enough!

On a Sunny Brunch Date in Los Angeles

I love that Jennifer Lawrence has been experimenting with her style lately, both on and off the red carpet!  Jennifer has recently proven that she is a street style queen. On a casual outing in LA, she combined all of the seasons hottest trends in a sheer maxi skirt, oversized sunnies, pointy flats, and layered pendants, and she then completed the whole outfit with her enviable Dolce & Gabbana straw bag to create an effortless yet chic look. She also jazzes up a plain tee by knotting it at her waist, which is definitely a look I'll be incorporating into my summer style!
- Julianna Lo, LSPR Intern

In Dior at the Cannes Party for Catching Fire
When the style star isn’t busy fighting in the games for District 12, she can be seen on the red carpet wearing unique looks like this one. Lawrence attended the Cannes Film Festival sporting a simple Dior dress accompanied by those stylish three P’s -- pink pointed pumps. She’s always keeping everyone on their toes.  Does this gal ever fail to impress?
- Molly Goldberg, LSPR Intern

In Burberry Arriving at Heathrow Airport
Jennifer Lawrence embraces the brisk London weather with a two toned double-breasted Burberry coat with black leather sleeves. One bold coat can really complete an outfit. The purple floppy hat adds a bold splash of color and contributes to the casual, cool look that we always see Jennifer Lawrence sporting. She makes traveling appear fun and fashionable while staying comfortable and relaxed.
- Caroline Gruensfelder, LSPR Intern

In Dior at the Cannes Photocall for Catching Fire

I love that J Law looks so happy in this photo – and I have a few guesses as to why.  Number One: she is sandwiched between Sam Claflin (swoon!) and Liam Hemsworth (double swoon!).  Number Two: she looks adorable AND comfortable in her corset top and pants from Dior.  I have a few formal functions this summer and it is my dream to find something like this that I can dance the night away in.

- Lauren Stillman

In Calvin Klein at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
The fashion gods have undoubtedly bestowed the gift of style upon miss Lawrence…or maybe she just has an amazing stylist! Whichever, she is my fashion knight-in-shining-armor in this metallic Calvin Klein number at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. I'd say the odds were definitely in her favor that night.

Staff Style Tips: April

Fasten your seat belt because this month’s style tips will either take you back to the past or transport you to the future. From childhood bows to hologram bags, we have this season’s best fashion trends and they are taking over the year 2013.

A is for Aztec – Katrina Bowden in LOFT
As the weather warms, I love the look of bold global prints like these Aztec-print shorts worn by Katrina Bowden at the celebration for the LOFT Pop-Up on Robertson.  How do you know if your favorite piece is Aztec?  Look for zigzags in various patterns, according to this story from FashionNiche.  For those of you with lots of prints in your closet, but no idea whether they are Ikat, Batik or Shibori, check out this great piece from Refinery29 to help you brush up on your fashion vocab.  (Katrina photo by Amy Graves/WireImage)
 -- Lauren Stillman

Back It Up – Jennifer Lawrence in Chopard
A reverse necklace is the easiest trend of the season to incorporate into your wardrobe. Simply turning around a necklace you already own creates a fresh look that works all year round. Jennifer Lawrence embraced back jewelry at this year's Oscars with a long Chopard necklace. You'll definitely catch me this season sporting a reverse necklace with my maxi dress.
-- Michelle Balady, LSPR Showroom Manager

Go Bold with Bows – Kerry Washington and Zooey Deschanel
Remember how much fun it was wearing giant bows when you were a little girl?  Well, thanks to designers like Louis Vuitton and Christopher Kane, you can relive your bow-obsessed childhood days while looking like you stepped right off the runway. That's right, bows are back! Whether styled in your hair, like Kerry Washington or cinched around your waist like Zoey Deschannel, bows add a touch of femininity to any ensemble.

 -- Danielle Janowicz, LSPR Intern

Hyped on Holograms- Kate Moss
Get ready to go back to the future with this trend. From shoes, to clutches, belts, to blouses- it’s showing up everywhere. Holograms add a fun, funky feel to almost any look and really pop against dark colors.
 -- Olivia Judkins, LSPR Intern

See-Through for Spring- Brooklyn Decker in Christian Louboutin
Clear accessories made an appearance on the Spring 2013 runways. From jewelry, to handbags, to heels, this fashion statement is so playful and can basically be paired with anything in your closet. As long as it is not overdone, see through accessories can make an outfit look both unique and elegant. In my opinion, this style trend is clearly amazing.           -- Christina Mendez, LSPR Intern
